To Our Readers,
I would like to invite you back to our weekly newsletter. I am sorry for the slight delay in publishing this, but we are now in the middle of finals, and I (along with many other writers) were too preoccupied with academic endeavors. Furthermore, this might be our final newsletter of the semester. I still intend to write over the break, and I would not be surprised if we have enough writers over the break to publish a newsletter, but I do not know
On a more relevant note, this past week we have had a variety of very impressive submissions. First of all, we received a guest submission from Nate Mellman, a retired USAF Colonel who worked as a Judge Advocate General. Colonel Mellman had written a response to Professor Gustafson’s opinion piece that Student Life had published. Student Life, however, refused to publish the reply, and as a result, Colonel Mellman’s piece is being published here, at The Danforth Dispatch. We are very proud to have such a submission and highly recommend that you read it.
Here are all of the articles that we published this past week:
“Guest Submission: A Response to Professor Gustafson” by Nate Mellman (Colonel, USAF, retired)
“What We’ve Got Here is a Failure to Publish” by Mason Letteau Stallings
“The Glaring Hypocrisy of This Week’s Pro-Palestine Rally” by Joshua Warner
“A Living Hope” by Wil Welch
“The Feast of the Immaculate Conception: An American Holiday” by Mason Letteau Stallings
We would like to thank all of our readers and all of our writers in particular. I would like to especially thank Colonel Mellman for writing for us, and it is a great honor to be able to publish his response to Gustafson.
Sincerely,
Mason Letteau Stallings
